The latest addition to the Cohn Restaurant Group, Bo Beau Kitchen & Bar, has taken over the space which held Thee Bungalow in Ocean Beach for over 40 years. With a new concept and menu, the Cohns chose Phillipe Beltran (who is responsible for the design of the popular local eateries Vagabond and Bleu Boheme) to design a restaurant that would give the feel of a cottage in the South of France. Bo Beau’s charming patio boasts the first outdoor pizza oven in San Diego.
The casual French menu created by Chef Katherine Humphus (whose resume includes The French Laundry in Napa Valley and New York’s WD-50) features several interesting variations on moules & frites, an assortment of imaginitively topped flat breads, hand made pastas and bistro classics.
Chef Katherine uses Sadie Rose’s Par Baked Flat Breads for their Woodstone Oven Flat Breads and Ciabatta Loaves for their table service.
