Boules – Boule is actually the French word for “ball.” These round loaves of bread are famous for making perfect bread bowls for soup. Although sourdough boules are common, many have come to love our french and country french bread in this style.
Baguettes – These long, narrow loaves have a specific shape and makeup that is even legislated by French law. They are as much a part of Parisian identity as the Arc de Triomphe or the Eiffel Tower. This centuries-old classic is loved not only in French cuisine, but throughout the world.
Sadie Rose offers baguettes in a number of dough flavors and shapes, including Asiago, Caramelized Onion, Challah, Country French, Fig, French, French Large Baguette, Cranberry Orange & Walnut, New York Rye, Kalamata Olive, Rosemary & Sage, and more:
Epi – This artisan French style is popular for picnics and dinner parties. It’s a series of yeast rolls interconnected to resemble a stalk of wheat. Easy to disassemble, diners can remove a roll without disfiguring the loaf. Our thin, crackly crust encases airy, creamy crumb bread inside.
Ficelle – Meaning “twine” or “string” in French, this is a very thin version of the baguette (about half the diameter of a baguette.) Looking for a variety outside the American breadstick? This is a delightful surprise.
French Demi – Mild, with a slightly buttery taste, its thin golden crust tops perfect sandwiches and beautifully complements goat cheese or roasted red peppers.
Rustic Bread – Reminiscent of breads made at home in the French and Italian countryside, this fragrant, crusty loaf is certain to please. Certainly a non-uniform, cannot-be-categorized indulgence.
Seeded Rustic – For those looking to find a rare and exquisite bread, this one is an experience you must have. Holding the full pleasure and taste of the herbs and seeds, this is not what you would expect from a large bakery – it’s more like a homemade recipe to be shared with family.
Buns – Nothing says dining contentment like our small, hand-sized, domed, flat-bottomed bread buns. Our ciabatta buns are available in either a small or large size. Enjoy the delicious simplicity of plain buttermilk buns, or with sesame or poppy seeds. Other dough shapes include Italian sandwich rolls, hot dog buns, our 0.8-oz silver dollar buns and 1.28-oz sliders. Other dough shapes and flavors include caramelized onion, egg, and more:
Focaccia, Herbed Focaccia, Herb and Cheese Focaccia – A flat, Italian bread that’s a wonderful alternative to garlic bread. Soft and chewy, it’s perfect with fresh Parmesan cheese and tomatoes.
French Torpedo – Ideal for hot smoked bacon, deli or buttered open-faced sandwiches, olive tapenade or provolone, our variety comes in six or eight-inch size.
Prairie Buns – This healthy multi-grain recipe is amazing with smoked sliced turkey, tomato and alpine swiss between.
Amish Sesame Seed Buns – A little-known simple pleasure, this dough brushed with egg and sprinkled with sesame seeds is hard to stay away from, once you’ve tried it.
